How about some pop culture? This is a poster from one of my favorite artist Laleh. She is born in Iran and has one of the best voices and lyrics. She sings in both English and Swedish

Filthy

I think I have the filthiest car in the whole neighborhood, so my beloved Beetle is my model for todays challenge – filthy

Haha, the door looks like a dirty window 🙂

Clean

tesil2

Remember when I said shooting something dark was the hardest on this challenge? I take it back. The more I think about the different themes, the harder it gets. Like today, how do you shoot clean? I’ve spent literally the whole Sunday (and today at work) thinking about it. And then J said, why not shoot something in your lightbox. What can I say, the man is a genius 🙂

Texture

texture1

Yesterdays challenge was texture, and since I love nature I decided to go for natural texture, more specific the bark on the trees.

But you can go for any kind of texture or surface

Dark

dark2

Okay, so shooting something dark, or in the dark – much harder than I thought. This past week, we’ve had some every really nice starry nights with a bright moon, of course that was until yesterday. My mind went blank.

dark3

So I wandering aimlessly around the neighborhood, trying to find some inspiration

with no such luck. I did however, manage to get a somewhat blurry shot of the shy cat from across the street..

He, or she, is so beautiful. Black and grey fur and big bushy tail. I think it’s a Norwegian Forest cat.  This is the only shot I got where you can actually see the cat.

Got any plans for the weekend? I’m spending my Saturday in Stockholm, celebrating a friends birthday and taking loads of photos – hopefully.

Light

I don’t know about you, but I’m having so much fun with this challenge. Todays theme is light, which can be interpreted in various ways as the word itself have various meanings. Daylight, light weight.. I tried to get it all in the photos. Light from the sun, light leafs and the lightness in between. I’m also giving myself some extra points as I managed to get shoot a stranger in the first photo. Woho.

And not surprisingly, tomorrow it’s time to explore the darkside.

Lunch

lunch2

So this was my lunch today, a banana, a flap jack and som yoghurt. Not the most exiting photos, and sure, I could’ve chosen old picture. But then it wouldn’t be a challenge. 🙂

Looking at the challenges that are left, I think it’s safe to say that the worst is behind us. Although I don’t have a vision for a lot of them – yet. Like tomorrow – light.. now that’s something to think about.

Strangers

stranger1

Todays challenge was strangers, which was much harder than I thought. In my mind I visualized a bussy street, people on their way from the train or something like that. But no. In a town of only 5,000 residents in the city center, it was sparsely among the crowds. I had almost given up when I found some construction workers at the rebuilding of the city’s train station.

Tomorrow’s challenge is lunch. I have no high expectations here, I already know what I’ll have for lunch tomorrow ..

A Street

utmaning

Don’t judge me, but I’ve basically just now discovered how amazing Pinterest is. I’ve always viewed it as just another social media platform and oh how wrong I’ve been. It’s more like Google with beautiful pictures. Anyway, lately I’ve every really bad at bringing my camera with me and to get some inspiration and challenge myself I found some fun photo challenges on, you guessed it – Pinterest. I found several, but above is the one I’m going for first. You can see it better here. And below, photos from todays challenge – a street.

So tomorrow I’m apparently shooting strangers, iiipp. Who want’s in on the challenge? 🙂

Narvik part 1

J’s sister in law is from Narvik, Norway, and a few weeks ago J went there with his brother. He borrowed one of my cameras and came home with a lot of beautiful pictures. I’m going to divide them into multiple posts, there’s just too many to go through at once.
Norway has a special place in my heart. When I was a kid, we spent a few summers in Trondheim, I still remember how taken I was by the beautiful landscape. And Narvik is even more beautiful.
